Seven Things About Me

True I have kept avoiding memes but when your tagged, your tagged.
I was tagged by YarnGeek and the rukes are as follows:

The rules: Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those who are tagged need to write on their own blog those 7 facts as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven other people and list their names on your blog. Then you leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog.

1) I have never knit a Jaywalker and no offense against it, I have no desire to ever knit one, I just happen to like lacy and complex socks.

2) I just realized a couple months ago that I had a small mole on my right heel, I asked my parents about it and apparently it has been there from the day I was born.

3) I'm a Voyager fan and my favorite line is in the episode when Q leaves his teenage son with the crew becouse he is out of control and he pops back in and yells at his son saying "If the continuum has told you once, they've told you twice. DO NOT PROVOKE THE BORG!" somehow I just find this line hilarious.

4) I first went to an orthodontist when I was 8 years old, wore pre-braces things for a couple years until my baby teeth all came out, then I wore braces for 4 years, I wore a removeable and permanent reatainer for another four years and I now have one removable retainer that I still wear at night, ALL TO FIX AN OVERBITE, because the orthodontist decided to retire a year after putting the retainer and never mentioning the switch.

5) I don't have my wisdom teeth or my bicuspits because I have large teeth in a small mouth and they didn't fit. (Hence the overbite in #4)

6) I'm allergic to goats. This doesn't bother me so much about mohair but I always wondered why people said cashmere was so soft when I find it a bit scratchy, but still not enough to keep me from wearing it, just not as a bottom layer.

7) I woke up one morning when I was twelve asked my mother to take me to Michael's (the only place then that sold yarn that I knew of). I bought size US4 needles and some worsted varigated blue acrylic and knit a swatch from a book when I came home.
After I did that I ripped out the swatch and it is still in my stash 7 years later. As a result of teaching myself I knit and purl throwing the yarn over counter clock-wise which results with my stitches not sitting right on the needles when I knit in the round so all my ssk and k2tog's are reversed.
