FO! Hedera socks from Knitty

It's been a while since I last finished an object. Something to do with all that ripping out I think. Anyway these really don't fit me because they are going to be gifted at Christmas.

Anyway aren't they gorgeous? My only issue while I was knitting them was the pooling in the gussets but I knew that couldn't be helped so I just ignored it and now I think it adds a little character to them.

Mods:
Pattern: Hedera from Knitty, by Cookie A. It's a great pattern to knit since the repeats are really easy to memorize, therefore easier to travel with since you don't need to cart around the pattern while you knit.
Yarn: Cascade Fixation in colorway 9030, a variegated yarn (not used in pattern)
Needles: The pattern recommended a size US1, although when I chose a different yarn that had to change, I used a size US3 for these and it seemed to work well for these socks

I also made the toe a little shorter and wider but it looks good.

These are very pretty! I actually like the pooling in the heel too. I've been wanting to make these socks for quite some time. I'm going to have to run off and do that very soon.
